 Chad Ochocinco Born on January 9, 1978 in Miami, Florida, Chad Ochocinco is the wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League, after playing college football for Oregon State. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl a total of six times, and All-Pro three times. He is also quite well known for his end zone celebrations. He legally changed his last name from Johnson to Ochocinco before the 2008 season kicked off to reflect the two number son his Bengals uniform (85). He is one of the contestants on the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars. Growing up, Ochocinco graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School in 1996. He then attended Langston University in Oklahoma but did not play football. He transferred to Santa Monica College a year later where he became teammates with future Carolina Panthers star wide receiver Steve Smith. He finally moved to Oregon State in 2000 after being intensely recruited. During his stint at Oregon State, he broke a school record for the longest touchdown reception with a 97-yard reception in a match against Stanford. Ochocinco was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he saw moderate playing time, catching 28 passes for 329 yards and one touchdown. In 2003, he recorded 1,355 receiving yards, a Bengals franchise record. In 2006, he signed on to extend his contract through 2011. An injury, however, had him sidelined for the first half of the 2006 season, catching only two touchdown passes and 483 yards. He had a breakout game, however, against the San Diego Chambers where he amassed 260 receiving yards and two touch downs. Outside statistics, he was also a fan favorite, finishing first in votes for wide receivers in the 2006 Pro Bowl.

 Meet Julie Landrum, wife of NBA star Paul Pierce. The couple has been together since February, 2006. Paul, 32, and his interior-designer bride Julie, 27, exchanged vows on July 17th, 2011 underneath a gazebo at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, California. The couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Prianna, served as the flower girl. Fellow Boston Celtics teamates Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and coach Glenn “Doc” Rivers were among the approximately 80 guests. Paul Pierce currently plays for the Boston Celtics of the NBA. Pierce was drafted by the Celtics as the 10th overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. He is a nine-time All-Star, four-time All-NBA team selection and also led Boston to the NBA Finals in 2008, and 2010, winning the 2008 NBA Finals. On July 2, 2010, Pierce agreed to a four-year, $61 million contract with the Celtics.

 Paul Anthony Pierce was born on October 13, 1977 in Oakland, California. (Click here for a complete listing of today's sports birthdays.) His mother, Lorraine Hosey, moved the family to Los Angeles a short time later. Paul never knew his dad. Lorraine, a single mother working two nursing jobs, raised Paul and his two half-brothers, Jamal and Steve. One of Paul’s friends as a kid was Baron Davis. Paul grew up in a happy, hard-working family. His mother liked the structure of sports and encouraged her boys to play all they wanted. Jamal starred for Inglewood High School and earned a college scholarship to Wyoming. Steve was a baseball star who was drafted in the first round by the San Francisco Giants when Paul was 12. As a freshman, Paul started all but one game for the Jayhawks and averaged 11.7 points and 5.3 rebounds. Still, he played fourth banana to stars Jacque Vaughn, Scot Pollard and Raef Lafrentz.    

 When Paul finally got a couple of talented running mates in his 10th season, few doubted that he would blend quickly with them. He has the kind of game that can compliment or be complimented by great players. He learned this from Roy Williams at Kansas and forgot little during his years leading a marginally talented Boston club. Paul is a good defender with excellent anticipation and great body strength. He uses these attributes to battle for rebounds as well as any small forward in the league.

 Meet Mieka Reese, girlfriend of  NBA star Derrick Rose.  We are not sure how these two met, but several news sources are reporting that she is pregnant. At this time, we can’t confirm whether or not this is true. We do know that Mieka Reese has substantial experience in entertainment and public relations, most recently  working as an intern for RocaWear Inc. She attended Clark University in Atlanta, Georgia.  Derrick Martell Rose was born on October 4th, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois. When he was young, his brothers taught him how to play basketball. Then, he got interested in basketball even more. So eventually, he played in many basketball leagues. Derrick went to Simeon Career Academy where he played basketball in High School. He led his High School team into becoming number one in the league and he was then considered Illinois Mr. Basketball.

 After High School, Rose attended University of Memphis Tigers. He led the Tigers to a championship against the Kansas Jayhawks with a score of 85-67. Then, in 2008, Derrick was the Number one pick in the NBA Draft. Derrick got selected to the Chicago Bulls. In his first eight preseason games, Rose was selected Rookie of the Year award for his outstanding scoring, ability to grab rebounds, and all the assists he made. On May 3, 2011, Derrick Rose earned his first MVP. He was the second Chicago Bulls player to earn an MVP in Bulls franchise.

Mini Bio:
 Hines Ward Jr. was born March 8, 1976, in Seoul, South Korea. His parents—Kim and Hines Sr.—had met while his dad was a 20-year-old serviceman. Kim was a 25-year-old cashier in her homeland. Hines Sr. had been a high school football star, but began drinking and frittered away any chance at a college scholarship. His younger brother, Wayne, would go on to play for Eddie Robinson at Grambling. Talent clearly ran in the family bloodlines.

 The Wards returned to the United States a couple of months after Hines’s first birthday. His father was stationed in Fort McPherson, near Atlanta. A year later, Hines Sr. left the family and took a tour of duty in Germany. Alone and feeling lost, Kim spoke no English and had no friends. Mother and son were on their own. Kim found work as a cleaning woman at a trailer park. Professional football player Hines Ward grew up in Atlanta. He found success as a wide receiver for the University of Georgia Bulldogs and joined the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 1998 draft, and went on to become the longest tenured player on the team. Ward would eventually parlay his notoriety into other areas, appearing on the 12th season of the popular American reality series Dancing With the Stars in 2011.
